Toulon harbour, a sunset, wine tastings : the wine cruise has all the charm of summer.
The wine cruise in Toulon harbour : a new feature for summer 2023
Whether you’re familiar with the Toulon harbour or have never had the chance to discover it on a guided tour, the winegrower’s cruise promises to take you on a journey through unique landscapes and flavours as the sun sets.
Departing from the port of Toulon just before 7pm (6.30 pm from September 14th), you will board your boat. Weigh anchor for a sunset tour of the harbour, taking in the naval base and the fortifications of the Tour Royale, Tour Balaguier and Fort de l’Eguillette, all testimony to the maritime history of the first port of the Levant.
Monts toulonnais, Moorish villas and fishermen’s huts : the sublime setting for an enchanting evening
The view of the monts toulonnais from the sea is panoramic and sensational : a mixture of limestone rock and pine forests, the monts surround the harbour like a benevolent presence. If you turn your gaze to the east, you’ll discover the relief of the coves that criss-cross the coastline from Toulon to Le Pradet, with the Oursinières in the distance.
The cruise leaves the waters of Toulon’s harbour to reach the Bay of Tamaris (also in the harbour !), located in the commune of La Seyne-sur-Mer. The little port of Saint-Mandrier in the distance, the Moorish villas of the Corniche Michel Pacha and the mussel and fish farming huts on stilts will arouse your curiosity. The history of the harbour is rich and not just linked to the navy…
